This was a special treat stay. Room described as fully accessible with ceiling hoist. However, when we arrived, hoist over bed only and only grab rails/shower seat in bathroom. I had not checked, but why have a ceiling hoist usable only over the bed?

Hotel and lifts were good. Room was a disaster as hoist only over bed. Could not use toilet/shower. Most staff could not understand why this was an issue! Thankfully a really helpful supervisor sent for commode to local Argos, so used this by the bed! Unable to wash properly. At end of stay offered free cocktail (room cost £1800 for 3 nights). Finally (grudgingly) agreed 40% reduction on room rate: we believe 50% should have been offered at check out.. Showed manager details of suitable shower/commode chair which he said he would look into but I am not confident this will be sorted. Such a shame as why go to the effort of putting in ceiling hoist usable only over bed? Room also did not have any sort of usable desk. To cap it all on the final morning found that the controller had been removed from the hoist and had to wait 2 hours for a replacement one (until hotel maintenance started at 0700).

Train to Kings Cross and then tube to Green Park then walk to hotel.
Accessible Toilets
0No changing places. Do not know about accessible toilet in hotel. Room bathroom had grab rail/shower chair but no hoisting at all.

Bad
Generally very nice but only one seemed to have any disability awareness at all.
