Not wheelchair accessible and the viewing platform is up steps

I mainly went here to give my husband the opportunity to walk around the model village. The model village is an exact replica of Bourton-on-the-Water and is amazing to see. I had looked at the website and knew that the paths were too narrow for a wheelchair but the website said that wheelchair users could visit the viewing platform for free. So that seemed a good alternative to me. In reality the only viewing platform is up a flight of steps and the wheelchair area is a wider section of path in the entrance to the village, so I felt rather in the way.
Disabled Access In and Around
0There is no access for wheelchairs to the village itself. This is understandable. The whole thing is to scale, which makes the paths too narrow for a wheelchair. However, you can stop just before the village and you can see some of it.
Parking & Transport
Poor
We arrived by motorhome and parked in the Coach Park, next door to the Co-op petrol station. Parking was expensive - £10.50 for 5 hours and blue badge holders pay full amount. There is a footpath into town but ut wasn't signposted well. The main road route was okay but as you get near the model village, the pavements weren't good - lots of potholes to negotiate.

0There are ladies and gents toilets but not an accessible one.
Staff
Poor
I wasn't very impressed. I went out of my way to be nice to the lady on reception but she seemed irritated by my presence. She wasn't going to let my assistance dog in until I pointed out that she is an assistance dog and offered to show her ID.
