The Old Library

Welcome to The Old Library Arts Centre - a creative space in the heart of Mansfield. Home to Inspire Youth Arts, we bring together creativity, learning and community under one roof. Whether you're recording music, rehearsing or running a workshop, our Grade II listed building has a space to suit you.

Here at The Old Library, we have our professional 99-seat black box theatre is a dynamic and flexible space designed for performers, creators, and audiences alike. With tiered retractable seating, the room can quickly transform to suit everything from professional productions and live music to dance performances, rehearsals, conferences, workshops, training sessions, and community events. Equipped with in-house sound, lighting, and projection capabilities.    

Our recording studio is a creative playground for musicians, bands, podcasters, and content creators. With acoustically designed, fully air-conditioned, live and control rooms, plus industry-standard recording equipment, you'll have everything you need to turn ideas into reality. The studio is packed with instruments and backline, including a drum kit, piano, guitars, professional microphones, a dedicated vocal booth, and a spacious live room. Our recording studio offers a relaxed, inspiring and affordable space to create and collaborate for both seasoned musicians and those just starting out on their creative journey.

As well as the theatre and recording studio, we also have a cafe/bar and 4 other spaces available, including a backstage dressing room.
