The Omnipod is the first accessible luxury glamping pod on the market. It is an 8m x 4m fully insulated space designed in an attractive curved pod style. The accomodation comprises an open plan bedroom/living/kitchen area perfect for 2 people and a wheelchair accessible wet room with stylish Motionspot bathroom fittings. The pod also boasts a generous 2m covered deck area, perfect for enjoying summer evenings or simply enjoying the view.

Disabled Access at The Omnipod

Access into the Omnipod is via a 1:10 gradient ramp onto a 2m x 4m wooden deck with spectacular views across the Devon hills, orientated for the most impressive sunsets. The deck has a weatherproof covering allowing guests to sit outside, even in the rain. The door into the Omnipod is 900mm wide and gives step free access into an open-plan sleeping/living/kitchen area with worktops at 850mm height and a sink under which a wheelchair user can put their knees. Microwave and 2 ring hob are at low level, as is the under counter fridge and electrical sockets/USB points. There is a roomy state of the art wet room with fittings from Motionspot including grab rails for the wc and shower, a shower seat and a basin with grab handles. There is a double bed provided for your comfort and a smart tv on an adjustable bracket for viewing from dining table, bed or one seater sofa. The sofa bed can be pulled out to accommodate a small adult or child. There is a 1.5m turning circle next to the bed and ample room for manoeuvring a wheelchair in the wet room. Internet and Google Home device are installed enabling you to use smart devices and use voice activated services such as music and the weather. There is a remote controlled velux blind next to the bed. Other blinds are operated manually by a user in a standing position.

The Omnipod has a private parking space for one average sized vehicle, laid with wheelchair friends, CoreLP grid for gravel. Access to the pod is via a 1 in 10 ramp, with ballustrade on one side and the external wall of the pod on the other.

Toilets features at The Omnipod

An accessible wet room is provided within The Omnipod with shower seat and grab rails for wc and shower. The basin is fitted with integral grab handles. The mirror is on an adjustable hinge set at a suitable height for wheelchair users. The floor is laid with neutral, non-slip Altro Aquarius wet room flooring.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
