Overview
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, whilst the food and entertainment were excellent. There are however a few issues, relating specifically to disabled customers, that were unsatisfactory. My understanding is that there are 13 bedrooms and 5 suites, yet I was told by reception that none of them is fitted out with disability aids. This causes severe problems for disabled guests like myself who cannot, for example, get off a toilet seat without support rails and as a result on all occasions have to use the disabled toilet beside the restaurant downstairs. As a result if I had needed to use the toilet during the night I would have had to get dressed, used my mobility scooter to go downstairs using the lift and then go through the hotel to the disabled toilet. This is not reasonable in such a good hotel. The following basic changes to at least one bedroom would make it suitable for most disabled customers. Toilet Facilities - - Install 2 folding support arms, one at each side of the toilet. Shower Facilities - A shower seat (that would fold up against the wall when not in use. - A grab rail in the shower to make the disabled user feel more safe and reduce the risk of falling. I would recommend that the above equipment would be best suited for either rooms 112 or 114 as those rooms are nearest the lift, without having to go down corridors where turning electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters would be much more difficult.

Toilets
The disabled toilet outside the restaurant was good for wheelchair users as they can turn easily to exit, however mobility scooter users have to leave their scooters outside. There are no separate toilets at the function room, the only concession being one larger cubicle. To access these toilets is extremely difficult as there are 2 entrance doors at right angles to each other and it requires someone to open both and hold these open for you to enter.
