Very nice Hotel and Inn, ideally situated to visit Lower Slaughter village, and so nice for disabled people to make use of, situated in the heart of The Slaughters. There is parking available in their own large car park (photo 1) with disabled bays, and a path to take you towards the landscaped lawn area (photo 2) but you will need to take wheelchair down the grass by path just before hotels entrance (photo 3) to get into hotel (photo 4) or continue ahead if you would like to enjoy a drink or light meal outside (photo 5). Once inside, it will be level for you if you go straight ahead into reception area (photo 6) or better still, turn right just inside hotels entrance and find a seat in small sitting area (photo 7) which is so nice if like us you prefer peace and quiet and be on your own. The restaurant is to left as you come in this way, but it does have quite steep steps (photo 8) but we believe they do have a ramp they can put down for you, and it’s here you will have booked your afternoon tea, which can be crowded at times, but a delightful selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes will give you the treat you deserve. It is a very pleasant well decorated, clean and inviting room (photo 9) with plenty of seating available (photo 10) Of course, you may also enjoy tea outside which you can get to from the front entrance and across path by the lawn, or via the doorway in the Bar lounge (photo 11 and unto the terrace itself (photo 12). However, we chose to settle in the small side room by front entry which can be reached by the small passage by toilets (13) and up to Bar (14) then pick your own seat (15) or like us, choose the seat under the window overlooking gardens (photo 16) and enjoy a really delightful Cream Tea, with two home made delicious scones which we covered with a good portion of strawberry jam (the Cornish way) we lived in Cornwall for 30 years, and then spread with Fresh Cream, oh, so delightful (photo 17) The gents toilet is by front entrance by lawns, the ladies through into reception area (photo 18) which are very clean, well maintained, but of course no grab rails (photo 19). OUR FINAL THOUGHTS It’s definitely worth a visit, even if you only go in for a cup of coffee, the Cream Tea was delicious with good comments being made about the Afternoon Tea as well, we just found it airy and roomy which allowed us to get around easily, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to enjoy.

Good for almost all of Inn, although steps in place if you book in for Afternoon tea in restaurant, but level for Bar lounge and it’s restaurant for light meals, or outside terrace, where you can again enjoy afternoon tea or lunch.
