Overview
Smith Art Gallery is housed in the same building as Brighouse library. It is an historic building set in a small accessible garden. There is one disabled parking place but there are other options available in the car park without hindering other users. Access to the building is to the left hand side and is up a ramp. To access the building press the bell for the library staff to open the door, which open outwards. The entrance hallway is quite tight so might be difficult if the aid used is longer than a standard wheelchair. Once you get past the entrance hall the library and gallery are spacious. I enjoyed a lovely hour or so looking at the collection and the current exhibition. There is a lift available to get to the upper floor and toilets. This is off the entrance hall so its tight for manouvering and probably only suitable for standard wheelchair size aids. It is a lovely peaceful inspiring place and the garden is very nice in spring to autumn

Toilets
Didn't use the loo so can't comment, I know the other toilets are upstairs so assume the disabled one is up there too. If so restricted by location of lift.
