Idyllic Village pub with a warm welcome

Front of the pub with outside seating and village hall opposite with accessible wc

Entrance step/Threshold and inner from door

Bar lounge with ample space for a wheelchair user

Good

I want to give this pub a 5 out of 5 because it is just so wonderful but sadly being an old traditional village inn, it unfortunately is not that accessible. The WC are up a step and inaccessible anyway but the landlord said they have a key for the village hall opposite which does an accessible WC - you do not get better customer service than that!

Disabled Access In and Around

Bad

Double entrance doors are nice and wide but there is a threshold to get over and the inner door is easily wide enough for quite a wide wheelchair

Parking & Transport

Poor

Barton Stacey is not far from the A303 but is quite rural so public transport is pretty non existent. However there is a tarmac carapace which is on a slope and has no designated disabled parking.
