I was not given advanced notice of the 'facilities' here. I won't return.
Disabled Access In and Around
Bad
There are only steps to access this venue. Wheelchair access is via a portable stair lift. You have to wait outside the venue for this, fortunately it wasn't raining when I was there but it was cold and I had to wait 20 minutes. Once it arrives you reverse onto it and are tipped back to almost horizontal, my chair only just fit. Then a member of staff reverses you up the steps on a system with caterpillar tracks.
Parking & Transport
Good
Parking available at the main carpark at Union Square. After 6pm this is currently £1.50.
Accessible Toilets
Bad
The 'accessible' loo is small and the access door is very narrow. I could only get through by forcing my chair through the door using my hands on the door frame, not my chair.
Staff
Good
The staff were as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.
