    Good

This is obviously a popular cafe serving lovely cakes and meals. It is outside Selkirk nearly opposite the entrance to Philiphaugh Estate. The entrance is well signposted.

    Disabled Access In and Around

    Excellent

It is a spacious cafe with a hard floor for easy wheeling. My picture only shows a small part of it, as I do not like to photograph people without their knowledge. There is a permanent gentle ramp from the disabled parking which leads to double doors. A smaller wheelchair might fit through one door but we needed to have both open.

Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance

    Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

There are only two (maybe three at a pinch) Blue Badge spaces just beside the ramped entrance. These have a hard surface. The rest of the car park is large but gravel.

    Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking

    Accessible Toilets

    Rating Emoji

    Good

The accessible toilet is near the counter. It has a drop down rail and a horizontal rail attached to the wall. The turn to the toilet is a little tight because of the baby changing table. I don't think there is a red cord.

    Excellent

Very helpful - rushing to the door on both entry and exit to open both doors for us.

    Additional Information

There is a small exhibition about eagles with a wall display and video. The day we visited I think there must have been a private function in the area as staff were clearing tables there. I'm not sure if it is normally empty to allow closer access to the display. A Salmon Viewing Centre was signposted from the road at the cafe entrance but we didn't notice any further signs (though it must have been somewhere near the river obviously!)
