Overview

We were recommended this restaurant by our neighbours, and having checked for an accessible toilet and wheelchair access by phone, booked a reservation online. The online booking form asked for dietary requirements and any other things the staff needed to be aware of. I said I was in a wheelchair and intolerant to cows milk, but my able bodied husband was the difficult diner. Following oesophageal cancer and subsequent throat damage, he has a very restricted diet - normally only liquids or very dry crumbly foods. I sent an almost essay of things he could potentially eat, and what he definitely couldn't. When we arrived, we entered via the rear (wheelchair entry) and were shown to a very accessible table. They were expecting us, and had designed a menu specifically for my husband! For the first time in over 5 years he was able to eat and enjoy a three course meal, in normal time, and without any problems. The food was just amazing - wide range on the menu with vegan, vegetarian options, with the option of tweaks to avoid any allergens or intolerances. The service was excellent - help whenever we needed it, but never suffocating. Next to us was another wheelchair user. We would very highly recommend this restaurant - it is worthy of a special trip to Norfolk. we live in London and will definitely come again.

Transport & Parking

we drove. Didn't see specific blue badge park, but there was a lot of parking available. The restaurant was a bit hard to find using the satnav, as it seemed to be further on than the postcode suggested, and it was not an obvious building - more like a large house.

Access

needed to enter through the rear. My husband went in the front, and someone came out to show us how to get in.

Toilets

4.5

Accessible toilet on the way from rear entry to the restaurant. Plenty of space and horizontal grab rails on both sides of the toilet. The grab rails were a little lower than I would have liked, but I was able to get on and off without difficulty.
