Overview

The Tiree Ranger service provides wheelchairs which allow access to the many wonderful beaches on Tiree. Easy to assemble, they probably require an estate car for easy transportation. We had no problem fitting it into our Mondeo estate. This allowed us access to our favourite beach and made the holiday. Without it, we would have had to come back from Tiree without setting foot on a beach, which would have been a major crime. The cost is whatever you think it is worth - you are asked to make a donation.

Transport & Parking

This is difficult to assess, as we are not normally wheelchair users. The wheelchair user would need assistance to manoeuvre on to the beach and would need to be pushed.

I would commend this to anyone. It was actually fun using the wheelchair, which resembles a moon buggy, with large balloon-like tyres.
