Disused railway from Hartington Station to Parsley Hay New
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair, Powerchair
Overview
Really enjoyed this section of the Tissington Trail. Lovely changing views, with good surface ideal for outdoor wheelchair. Refreshments available at both locations with good selection of food (including vegan ) and drinks. Disabled loo at parsley hay. Found out later that there is or soon will be a changing places toilet too.
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking bays. No charge for blue badge holders at time of writing. Surface quite level. You need a car to get here.
Access
Surface well compacted with light gravel. From my point of view, in an all terrain trike, it was perfect. No steep sections, no steps. May be a little bumpy in a standard wheelchair.
Toilets
There is a disabled loo at parsley hay cycle centre, right next to the trail. I discovered later that there is or soon will be, a changing places loo there as well. Which is fantastic.

Note this is a completely different section of the Tissington Trail, not to be confused with my other review of the Alsop station to Tissington section.
