Unfortunately our brand new car which we lease through motability.broke down while a few hundred yards from here . We had to wait some hours for motability to deal with our issues . The pub owner was really very helpful when we explained our problem . We had hot drinks which we ordered from the bar . I was due to take my medication and have to eat when I do this . The pub does food but as it’s small they couldn’t fit us in . We were a party of four our aunt and uncle who were holidaying with us were also there .we sat at the tables they have outside and the owner was able to provide us with two large bowls of chips to help tie us over . Once our car was removed by rac to a garage in morecombe we returned to the pub to wait for a taxi to return us to our holiday cottage . I was able to access the pub although I did require a little help to walk up the step as we couldn’t get the wheelchair through the narrow door but this wasn’t an issue for me . The owner checked we were ok and adjective what was happening .we ordered done drinks from the bar to have while we waited . I was certainly stressed by the situation but the owner chatted away to us to try and cheer me up . The toilet is small but my aunt was able to help me . The owner certainly went out of his way to help and make sure we were ok . They were fantastic would certainly return again when in the area .
