I stayed here as I was at training event and I needed somewhere a little more cost effective than central London. I found the hotel is a handy base for exploring London. Finsbury Park Underground station ist just a 4-minute walk away, and it's wheelchair accessible! There are plenty of shops, cafés and places to eat nearby, plus Finsbury Park itself if you fancy a woodland wander.
Disabled Access In and Around

There are automatic sliding doors at the entrance. To the right of the doors, there’s a sign with braille highlighting, explaining that key cards must be used later in the evening and where to find the intercom. The reception desk is straight through the doors. It doesn’t have a lowered counter but I was able to speak with and see the staff. The dining area and bar are to the right. There are plenty of seats, but I didn’t eat here during my stay. The doors are manual and heavy, but staff were on hand to help me make my way to the lifts. The lifts are large enough for a powerchair user. The buttons are tactile, but there is no braille. There is a mirror for reversing. The corridors and rooms are carpeted, but the carpet is low-pile so it shouldn’t be an issue for manual wheelchair users. I didn’t have an accessible room, so the door was quite heavy. You need to tap your key card above the handle to access the room. Although I didn’t have an accessible room, there was plenty of room to move around using my wheelchair. The room has standard features like a tea station and television, which was pretty high up the wall. There was also a space heater in my room. The dining area is spacious, but I didn’t use it.
Accessible facilities: Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals, Lift to all areas
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
There is paid parking available nearby at Fonthill Car Park on Goodwin Street, a short walk from the hotel, although I can’t comment on the parking facilities as I wasn’t driving. You’ll find a good range of bus routes connecting to other parts of North London and central London, making it a handy location if you prefer to travel by bus. As mentioned, the Underground is just a few minutes away.
Accessible Toilets

As my room didn’t have an accessible toilet, I haven’t documented this but I checked out the toilet near the reception area. The toilet doesn’t require a RADAR key. The pan is against the rear wall and has a contrasting seat, with contrasting rails on either side. There is space for a left-side transfer, but there is a bin in the way. The sink has a lever-style tap and a small basin. There are contrasting rails on either side, but the mirror is a little too high. The red cord is to the right when seated and was hanging to the floor.
Facilities: Accessible toilet, Red Cord Card
