Overview
This is a really fun restaurant and cocktail bar with tasty food and friendly staff. It is accessible to an extent, and worth a visit for the comfy interior and fantastic cocktails.
Transport & Parking
The restaurant is located on Broughton Street which has a bit of a slope and is busy with traffic. There were some cars parked directly outside, but it isn't really an on-street parking kind of venue. There is however a really handy bus stop right outside the front door served by wheelchair-accessible Lothian Buses.
Access
There are two wide entrances just a few metres apart from each other. One has a small step down, and the other is completely level. Once inside, the restaurant is all on the same floor, but one half is on a raised stage accessed by a few steps. There are plenty of seats on the main floor however, and these aren't excluded from the atmosphere in any way. The tables are low and the chairs are moveable. There isn't a dropped counter that I could see at the bar, but it is table service here.
Toilets
There is no designated accessible bathroom in this restaurant, but the main toilets are on the level-access floor of the restaurant. The doors appear to be standard width doors, so they will not be accessible to everyone. I asked some staff members about this and they told me they have had wheelchair users in the past use these toilets. So they will be accessible to some, but not all. It's worth checking with the venue in advance. The restaurant is around a 5 minute walk from the Omni Centre which does have accessible toilets.
Staff
Staff members are very knowledgeable about the menu and are really friendly and accommodating.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The American cookie dessert is fantastic. In fact, all of the food is really good.
