Venue Description

An adventure holiday destination in Cornwall for the whole family set in breath-taking Cornish countryside on The Lizard peninsula. Treat yourselves to watersports on a sheltered and tranquil lake before you head off to discover the culinary delights of local towns and villages. With six holiday cottages (three of which are wheelchair-friendly and fully accessible) tucked away on site but still close enough to the action, you can experience the best that Cornwall has to offer in one never-long-enough stay. We have made it our mission to provide enabling holidays for disabled visitors, with everything made with you in mind. We’ve created purpose-built accessible holiday cottages for people with disabilities and limited mobility, that able bodied family and friends can enjoy too. Our vision is one of inclusivity, a centre of excellence and much-needed facilities where children and young people with all abilities and disabilities can spend time with friends and family, making memories to last a lifetime. Our disabled friendly cottages with wet rooms are large and spacious, carefully designed for your comfort and to wow you with their views and added extras – how about a holiday home with private hot tub for your holiday in Cornwall? And there’s so much adventure packed in and around Trevassack Lake, with 26 acres to explore. What good is all that water without a watersports centre to make the most of it? Activities, courses and equipment for accessible watersports are all available here, along with helping hands from our experienced staff.

Two of the six units have ceiling hoists from bedroom to bathroom/wet-room, adjustable kitchens, a profiling bed if required and an en suite Carer's bedroom. The remaining four units are wheelchair accessible. There is various specialist equipment available for use on site and within the accommodation (advance booking required but all available free of charge). Accessible watersports activities available on site with our specialist equipment and instructors. Our ‘Learning Centre’ is accessed via ramps and automatic doors and is level throughout. Our public facilities include a ‘Changing Places’ room and accessible wet-room and toilets. Level pathways with safety surfacing will guide you around the site and at the lakeside you will find wide, stable pontoons with ramp access and hoists to help those with limited mobility onto our adapted watercraft. Our activity staff are professionally trained with experience of teaching young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
