We are a small independent museum, located in Ullapool, housed in an iconic Thomas Telford Church, and explore how people in Lochbroom lived, worked and played through the ages. We are a family friendly museum and welcome visitors of all ages to explore our past. We have extensive records of The Hector, the ship dubbed Canada's Mayflower, which sailed from Lochbroom in 1773, and a significant archive of family histories of the local area. Our in house genealogy volunteers can assist you in research of our own family in the area. With exhibits on the Clearances, the Klondykes and Crofting history we offer a range of information on the Lochbroom area.
