    Good

West Jesmond Metro station is a handy above-ground Metro stop for getting around Newcastle, particularly if you’re heading into the city centre. There is ramp access between the platforms, and level boarding to the trains.

    Disabled Access In and Around

There is step-free access to both platforms, with a walkway connecting the two. The walkway has ramps with handrails on either side and landings to make the ascent a bit easier. Where there are stairs, there are handrails on either side and tactile paving at the top and bottom. Tactile paving is also installed at the platform edge. Ticket machines and smart card readers can be found on both platforms. There is also shelter and seating, along with audio announcements, tactile paving and overhead signage.

    Accessible facilities: Step-free entrance

I travelled to this place by walk or wheel

I wasn't driving, but I spotted some on-street parking spaces outside. There is dedicated disabled parking, but it's a pretty long bay that runs down the street, with no hatched markings.

Accessible facilities: Public or on street parking

    Accessible Toilets

There are no toilets at this venue.

    Staff

    This venue is not staffed.

    Additional Information
