We stayed 2 nights in the accessible hippo lodge. We were allowed to park our car right outside. The lodge was well equipped with a large wet room with raised toilet and sturdy shower seat. The microwave to reheat the food was at a good height for someone in a wheelchair. I personally found the bed to be a bit low as were the seats on the balcony, so we moved a dining chair outside. There were great views of the hippos from the extensive balcony area, they swim right up close. During the day we explored the walking areas. I hired a mobility scooter online for £25 a day ,before our visit which we collected from reception. We were given a lift to and from our lodge. All of the walking safari was accessible with the scooter. The disabled toilets that I visited were clean and well maintained. I would thoroughly recommend an overnight stay at the hippo accessible lodges.
