The WestMARC depot in Yoker is an NHS servicing and repair centre for mobility devices. My favourite aspect of the service is that I don't need to book ahead before dropping in, which is great with my busy work schedule. I've been here three times in the past year for different issues and they've been great every time.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
At the entrance there is a touchpad-controlled powered door which opens inwards. There is a pad on the rail to the left, and a second to the right of the door. There are seats in the waiting room, but as there are signs advising against taking photos, I haven't captured them. On arrival, take a left and you'll find a bell on the pillar to the right.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
There are four accessible spaces in the car park. They could do with being repainted.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
The toilet requires a staff key. I didn't use it, so I can't rate it.
Staff
Excellent
I spoke to Karen when I arrived. She was lovely and very helpful. Euan, the engineer, was friendly, efficient and got my chair back to me in no time.
