The Tramper was brought out to us when we entered the area. The Aboretum is £10 per person entry, but carers get in free

Amazing for power wheelchairs

The arboretum is great for wheelchair access you can access all areas, very friendly staff and helpful for example when my wheelchair battery died they were very helpful and let me charge my wheelchair on the outside power outlet. The disabled toilet is great, there is a bed and a hoist, suitable for slings with loops plenty of space for your wheelchair and your PA’S. The bed has adjustable height and optional beds sides.

Beautiful forest walk,lovely autumn colours, accessible paths and treetop walk. good cafe, changing places toilet.

Disabled Access at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum

Admission: the cost of admission includes free entry for one essential carer per disabled visitor. Scooter and wheelchair loan: wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available from the Welcome Building. Please book in advance by calling Visitor Services on 0300 067 4861. Accessible paths: there are DDA approved paths from the Welcome Building to main facilities, along with 11 miles of hard paths accessible for wheelchairs, scooters and buggies. Due to the terrain the use of three wheel electric scooters is not advised. There are rest benches throughout the arboretum.

Parking and arrival: disabled parking spaces are located close to the Welcome Building, where there is an accessible admissions desk.

Toilets features at Westonbirt, The National Arboretum

Disabled toilets: disabled toilets can be found in the Welcome Building. Changing Place: a registered Changing Place can be found in the toilet block close to the Great Oak Hall, including height adjustable changing bed and a ceiling hoist.

Changing Places toilet

There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
