Winchester Cathedral

A really spectacular cathedral, so full of history. We spent nearly 3 hours there - there was so much to see. Almost all of it was accessible for me in my wheelchair. Only the crypt was inaccessible. Accessible toilets onsite with grab rails on both sides Disabled parking nearby in Colebrook Street, giving level access to the cathedral £14.90 entrance fee - carer goes free - this gives a year's entry. Sounds like a lot but was worth every penny Guided tour included. We decided to do our own thing and there was a volunteer who was very knowledgeable and helpful, who gave us information whenever we needed it. There is a stair lift for wheelchairs to get you up the stairs at the back and to view the choir stalls. Need to get someone to operate it - did not have to wait long.
