Venue Description

The Senedd is the home of the National Assembly for Wales, here in Cardiff Bay. The building is open to the public nearly every day of the year and is one of the most iconic buildings in Wales.

Accessibility

We are accessible by public transport and have disabled car parking, for more information visit our 'How to get to us' webpage by visiting: https://senedd.wales/visit/our-estate/how-to-get-to-us/ We have lifts, ramps and automated doors which make our building fully accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are available to loan to members of the public for the duration of their visit. Our building is well signposted, our signs include a brail transcript. We have loop system in the main public areas, as well as portable loop system.

Toilets

Both the Male and Female toilets include a wider cubicle designed for people with mobility issues. We have two additional wheelchair accessible toilets, one with right transfer space and one with left transfer space. Our Changing Places facility includes an adult changing bed, hoist and accessible toilet with right and left transfer space. Our baby changing room also has an accessible toilet

Staff

The venue is always manned by security staff and visitor relations personnel, many of whom are trained in first aid and have received disability, deaf and autism awareness training. Staff are ready and willing to assist in any way possible.
