Accessible lookout tower with stunning views!

Excellent

We visited A'DAM Lookout on a lovely sunny October day. The views in all directions are stunning! We had previously visited Euromast in Rotterdam and were disappointed with it, so we almost skipped this one. I am so glad we didn't! It was a great place to visit and we spent a lovely morning here. There is a cafe on the viewing platform and various rides you can pay extra for.

Disabled Access In and Around

Good

I would have rated access as excellent but for the entry. There are steps up to the door and a ramp has been provided but the ramp is quite steep and has a horrible camber. I needed help up it. Then, there is a slight step into the building. I found that manageable but a bit annoying. Once inside, it was perfect! Everything was level, plenty of space to move around, lifts to all areas with staff on hand to help. It was great!

Parking & Transport

Excellent

I travelled to this place by boat

We took a tram into Central Station and then Ferry F3 from behind Central Station to the other side of the river. It's a very short walk then to A'DAM. If you get an I-Amsterdam card, this will cover trams, ferries and the Lookout itself (plus loads more).

Accessible Toilets

Good

There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor, so go before you get in a lift. Ideally, I would have liked one at the platform but at least there is a toilet somewhere. It was large, clean, well equipped with rails and stuff.

All staff were excellent! They were really keen to make sure our visit went well.
