Overall Rating
Excellent
Aerospace Bristol is modern, spacious museum of aviation. It's main attraction is that it has the last Concorde ever to fly amongst its exhibits. In addition to Concorde though it has a separate set of galleries covering the history of aviation and Bristol's part in it. It is very accessible although completely non ambulant people will not be able to actually board Concorde.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
The venue is very spacious and mainly on one level with a good surface, Most (but not all) doors open automatically. In the Concorde hanger there is a lift to the upper level and a lift up to the actual Concorde boarding point. Wheelchair user will not be able to go aboard though - it is simply too narrow.
Accessible facilities: Lift to all areas, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals, Step-free access to most areas
Parking & Transport
Excellent
I travelled to this place by bus
I travelled there by local bus from Bristol city centre but there is a large car park on site with a lot of Blue Badge spaces
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
Toilets were located in the main exhibition space and were clean and spacious.
Facilities: Accessible toilet
Staff
Excellent
The staff were extremely helpful.
Additional Information
This is a very good, very accessible museum. The history pf aviation section is very interesting. As for the Concorde hangar, even if you are unable to board the plane itself you can move under it and up close to it. It's not cheap, it cost me over £20 to get in, but in my opinion it is worth it.
