I attended here for an external course. I pre-arranged disabled parking which was in the student village. The journey from the car park to the main building wasn’t very smooth with broken pavements, uneven surfaces and steep curb ramps between the car park and the shops. It was ok between the shops and main building though. I know this was during a time when they were using the nearer car park for Covid testing and you can now park behind the main building if you prebook. Accessing the building was ok but once in the lift and upstairs I found the doors too heavy to open on my own. Plug points are on the floor which weren’t accessible for me to bend down to either and tricky to get round in my wheelchair. The toilets were also really hard to open as they had fire doors, and it was impossible for me to hold the door handle down, push the door and steer my wheelchair. It was also really tight in the toilet with the toilet bowl quite far back so tricky to side transfer. I had to ask colleagues for help opening doors and letting me out the toilet.
