Overview

I always find it difficult finding reliably accessible accommodation but Apartrooms Aberdeen was a real find. I go to Aberdeen every few months to visit my aunt so it’s really good to know where to stay. I hadn’t seen this before so guessed it was fairly new. The building has about 10 apartments, some on the first floor but this accessible apartment is on the ground floor. No one on site but emails are answered very promptly if you need anything. As well as a wet room, comfortable bed and very easy to get around apartment, there is the bonus of Alexa technology for some of the lights, TV and kettle!

Transport & Parking

Went by car. Just off the main A road from Dundee/ south. Didn’t use the bus but there was a bus stop opposite to go into Aberdeen - about 5 miles away.

Access

Excellent access. Flat entry and within. Enough space to use wheelchair or rollator within. Wet room. Alexa technology.

Toilets

Toilet within wet room. 2 handrails for toilet, right transfer. Rails by sink, within shower and at door. Fold down seat within shower area.

Staff

As above there are no staff on site but I got a very speedy response from an email enquiry. You’re given door code for entry before you visit. Staff contacted us about whether housekeeping was needed during the week and did as requested.

Co op shop about a mile away. Details of take aways (carry outs) that deliver to the apartment available. Great place to stay.
