About

The Aspire Leisure Centre was the first fully accessible Training Centre in Europe for disabled and non-disabled people. Approximately one third of members are disabled, which compares with a national average of 2-3% in other sports centres. We proactively encourage disabled people to join and take part in all activities by subsidising their membership and activity costs and offer a fully Inclusive Fitness Initiative approved fitness studio.

1st swim since wheelchair user

I visited Aspire whilst an inpatient at Stanmore Hospital. It is fully wheelchair accessible the pool has pool chairs and a ramp into the pool, the gym has movable bits so wheelchair users can still use equipment. All the staff I met were really helpful and friendly. There is a small cafe on site.
