Great stay. Helpful staff
We stayed here for four days. I am pretty much wheelchair bound but I can still transfer to other seats. I rang ahead and they coned off a parking space just outside the entrance. Reception were brilliant. If you asked and the hotel wasn't full you could cone off your parking space while you were out.
We had a fully accesible room on the ground floor with a wet room. We asked for a two bed configuration. The room layout was good with a lowered rail in the wardrobe and a safe but that was on the top shelf. The wet room was large but not that friendly. The toilet was raised from the normal level with a hand rail on one side only. The shower seat was set too high, I am 6'4" and my feet hardly reached the ground and there were no hand rails.
The hotel is 5 or 6 georgian houses knocked through and so the floor goes up and down and the hotel is long and thin. We stayed over a weekend and breakfast was table service which was very efficient and the food excellent. During the week it was a buffet breakfast that also worked well
We found the hotel bordered onto the New Walk a 200 year old pedestrian 'road' that gives level access right into the city centre. This is only a 15 minute walk away. One day it rained and we used the free Hop! bus that had stop on the main road just opposite the station.
I would thoroughly recomend this hotel for the location and the very helpful staff.
