Overview

Restaurant Specific Review (there is an attached bunkhouse). We booked as a family for Father's Day. Right from the outset, all of the staff were helpful and friendly, unlocking the double door even before I got to it to allow me to get in with my wheelchair. The food is excellent. The Cullen Skink was described as the best they've ever tasted, and my venison burger was just perfect. All the food was delicious, with large portions all round. Maybe slightly on the pricey side (£20-£30 per head), but well worth it considering the rather remote location. It's in a gorgeous location with stunning views and right on the Ben Nevis path, allowing for pre- and post-meal wanders assuming you're suitably equipped. Overall, this is a fantastic restaurant (not a pub as reviewers on other sites seem to think!) in a wonderful location. It was my first visit since becoming a wheelchair user, and I will definitely be back. Thoroughly recommended.

Transport & Parking

4

The restaurant is a bit out of town, along a narrow single track road. There is a large gravelled car park with disabled spaces but you can get dropped off right by the entrance.

Access

5

Wheelchair access is great, with a perfectly inclined ramp (easily doable without assistance). Once inside, wheelchair manoeuvrability is a bit restricted with only a couple of tables you can easily get to, so you definitely need to reserve in advance and specifically mention your accessibility requirements.

Toilets

There is a disabled toilet but I didn't use it on this occasion. I'll edit my review next time!

Staff

Extremely helpful and friendly staff all round.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

There are only really three tables in the restaurant that are accessible to wheelchairs so I would definitely recommend phoning and booking in advance and specify that your accessibility requirements. To be honest, booking ahead is advised anyway as it gets very busy.
