Overview

I was very very pleasently surprised by the access at Beningbrough Hall. They greeted me (rather than my carer) with a wheelchair route map which covered most of the grounds. They also have a lift to each floor in the hall itself which is very unusual in my experience. It meant I was able to experience the venue in much the same way as a none disabled user. Staff were friendly and talked to me (not just my carer).

Access

Fantastic! Most of the garden was accessible (and you had a map to help as well) and the whole hall was accessible.

Toilets

This was the only let down. The disabled toilet was tiny, the red pull cord didn't reach the floor and it would have been impossible to get another person in if you needed assistance transfering. As it was I struggled to get the wheelchair in and out because of the size and angles.
