Explore the important stories of ‘The One’– Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh Dowding, ‘The Few’ who took to the air to defend our skies and ‘The Many’ without whose tireless work on the ground victory would not have been possible and discover how technology, leadership and courage forged victory allowing Britain’s darkest hour to also be her Finest Hour.

    Battle of Britain Museum

    Accesible Museum with easy to read and see displays.. Helpful volunteers. Clean throughout. Outside area overlooking garden. Restaurant. Accesible toilet which is very clean .

    • The Museum is entirely step-free. There is a lift to reach the lower floor • There are two wheelchairs available at the Museum which can be borrowed. • All door openings are wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. • The paths in the garden are gravel with a special membrane which supports wheelchair use • There is seating throughout the gallery spaces. • The Museum has two self-guided audio described tours - one tour for adults and one for families, cost included in admission

    There is plenty of free car-parking on site. The car-park is a 2 minute walk from the Museum’s entrance. There are 5 accessible parking spaces directly outside the Museum for blue-badge holders.
