    Best Western Woodlands Hotel is located in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. There are a number of fully accessible wheelchair rooms/bathrooms, a fully equipped gym, heated indoor pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi and resident holistic masseuse. There is a relaxing lounge bar and large restaurant serving breakfast lunch and dinner. The Ballroom is an ideal space for large celebrations and can seat up to 200 people, The Library makes an intimate setting for weddings,social events or meeting space. Our Wifi is excellent and our ample parking is free! Disabled parking and access.

    Peaceful hotel just outside Dundee

    This is a really good hotel about six miles outside Dundee and about a mile up the road from fishing village Broughty Ferry. It's well known locally for being a nice hotel, popular for weddings and for locals using the leisure facilities (pool, sauna, gym etc) and restaurant which residents can use too. The fish and chips is excellent! All of their accessible features are at ground level, along with the leisure facilities and bar/restaurant. There are three accessible bedrooms.

    Best Accessibile Room

    I have booked many ‘accessible ‘ rooms since an accident and this was perfect. I had a wet room with all the handles in the correct place. There was a fitted folding seat at the shower which was invaluable. Wheelchair users would easily be able to use too. Used the pool and it has both steps and a ladder. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Was able to access hot tub and sauna/ steam room. Best accessible room I’ve found in years.

    A hotel with a great location for exploring

    We stayed at the hotel several times recently when visiting Dundee and Angus. The hotel is a blend of old and modern that works well and offered everything we were looking for with accessible bedrooms, wet rooms, spa, dining and spacious parking.

    Disabled Access Information Provided by Best Western Woodlands Hotel

    Disabled Access at Best Western Woodlands Hotel

    Disabled parking is situated just few metres from the hotel main entrance. The entrance is flat with manual push doors. Reception is close to the entrance and help is easily on hand should it be required. The Restaurant/Bar/Lounge is on the ground floor - there is one raised area in the bar with three low level steps and several soft seats on level area. The breakfast buffet can occasionally be served in the raised area of restaurant, however, staff are always on hand to lend a helping hand if so required. The hotel has 3 bedroom wings: The Abercromby Wing was opened in 2016 and has 24 King size rooms. 2 Disabled rooms with roll in showers are available on the ground floor. The upper floors are accessible by lift. The Hamilton Wing is on two floors, there is one disabled access room with a roll in shower on the ground floor, the corridors are wide. The Wyldes Wing is in the original part of the hotel which was a former mansion house, all rooms are accessed by stairs and there is no lift access.

    There are 4 Disabled parking spaces just metres away from the hotel entrance. If you call ahead reception will be happy to reserve a space. Outwith the disabled spaces there are several more just metres from the hotel entrance and there is a convenient drop off area by the front door.
