Beth Chatto Gardens

There is a large car park with several blue badge bays. Inside the entrance there is a toilet block with an accessible toilet. The surface is quite thick gravel which is hard work for a wheelchair or scooter. Those with a crutch or a stick would need to take great care. The cafe, garden centre and shop are all accessible with paving. There is a long ramp down to the garden which is grass and very well maintained. It was a lovely visit and for those with an interest in gardening and gardeners.

Completely accessible gardens and also restaurants and shopping area. In fact accessible everywhere. Might be different in the wetter the garden but there would be still enough places to go round. The staff are all very good as well. The lady on the ticket desk actually spoke to me and explained everything as this was our first visit, but it won’t be our last

From the moment we arrived the experience was very relaxing. Plenty of parking and disabled toilets close to the entrance. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The gardeners, although busy maintaining the grounds, were always happy to spend the time to answer my questions. Most of the garden paths are gravel or gently sloping turf.
