Blists Hill Victorian Town

This was the main reason of our visit to ironbridge as we enjoy these types of museams. Totally loved changing your money to old currency and learning loads about the Victorian time. Having visited beamish and black country museum, the guys here are way more in character and way more friendly and engaging. Chips here too are so much nicer (and one two days there was no queue). Also more to buy in the shops and I feel they are on par with beamish to integrate really well the feeling of the shop and the ability to buy.

Amazing town of historic buildings, most of which you can enter and make purchases using old money. All staff dressed in Victorian clothing. Could have a lesson in old school, buy chips cooked in beef dripping, old funfair rides and amusements. Many other industries to see with work been done using old methods. A real sense of progress at the start of the industrial revolution.

Great day out with my husband, mum and father-in-law. I got in for free and they gave me a fantastic Access Guide which clearly showed what was accessible and what wasn't . There was an inclined lift to get down to the lower town . Lots of costumed staff around if you have any questions. Loved the old fashioned fairground, Only reason that it's not a 5 is that we bought sandwiches in the cafe then found they were 2 days out of date
