Overall Rating
Poor
The St David’s restaurant looked very appealing, standing very close to the reception desk, nicely decorated, with unusual fixtures, But it turned out to be rather disappointing. The table and chairs were far to close together, some guests hardly had enough elbow space, far too many people crammed in together, it gave the feeling of being a typical holiday camp rather than a hotel. The food was not of same standard as other Warner hotels, and staff were certainly not as happy as other places. The buffet bar was crowded, messy food all over counters and not being wiped up quick enough, rather off putting I’m afraid. We chose waitress service and ordered off menu, but disappointed again. After diner, we joined guests for the late evening cabaret show, which you can enter showroom on a short passage opposite reception desk, but found it difficult to find a spot to place the wheelchair, and even that meant getting out of chair to sit on one of their seats. The show itself was ok, very noisy, but too much for us, so when an opportunity presented itself, we embarrassingly left the show lounge passing along seats full of guests wondering how two old souls had the courage to get out. We simply sat at the coffee nest and had a nightcap mocktail before an early night in our comfortable room watching a tv programme.
