    About

Bond Street Car Park is a parking facility situated in the South Shore area of Blackpool. Located behind the Pleasure Beach Resort, this car park provides a practical base for visitors exploring the seafront and local attractions. It is ideally positioned for those wishing to visit the nearby Sandcastle Waterpark, South Pier, or the various amusement arcades and entertainment centres along the promenade.

This car park offers designated parking spaces for disabled guests and Blue Badge holders. The surface is tarmac and there are two electric vehicle charging bays available. Accessible transport links are located nearby, as all Blackpool trams are wheelchair accessible and provide frequent services along the coastline from the Pleasure Beach toward the town centre.

Small, level-access car park with EV charging

Bond Street Car Park is a small surface car park on the corner of Bond Street and Station Street. There are no concessions or wider spaces for Blue Badge Holders, although there is a sign advertising "extra wide" standard spaces. There are two electric vehicle charging terminals, but it is unclear where charging cars are supposed to be parked. There are markings to say no parking in front of the machines, but I am unsure that it would be possible for all of the EV chargers to be used at the same time if vehicles have to be parked all in the spaces to the right of the terminals. (The cables do not look quite long enough for this.) The upside of this no-parking space is that wheelchair users are not blocked from accessing the interfaces by parked cars. Both of the terminals have integrated cables without supports and bollards between them rather than in front, which makes it a little easier to access them on wheels. The display on the taller machine is a bit high and the cables tend to pool in front of it, making the approach more difficult. There are CHAdeMo and CCS cables, which are at mid-height on the taller machine and at the top on the smaller terminal. The display on the taller machine is a bit higher and could be difficult to reach from a seated position. There is no staff – payment is via a machine at the entrance that has a high-ish display but the buttons and payment slots are all within reach from a seated position. You can also use the tap2park app to pay.
