Bridge House Cafe

There is a slight slope up into the entrance. Someone may have to open and hold the door for you if you are a wheelchair user or have crutches or a rollator. The cafe is nice and spacious however there are a lot of tables and it can sometimes feel a wee bit cramped if busy. Doggies are welcome, which is lovely. There's a nice fire when it is cold outside this is the place to be. Hot chocolate is amazing. Stafdf are really excellent and attentive.

We had to dive in here during a very heavy downpour of rain .whilst visiting the town. Entry is via a slip with a very shallow step. Once inside room to get about between the tables. You place your order at the counter ,it’s brought over to your table when ready . Plenty of choice of hot and cold drinks plus good if required. There is also an arch that goes between the coffee shop and gift shop next door. Staff in the coffee shop helpful. Would go back again when in the area ,

Bridge St, Ballater AB35 5QP Level access through a single door which you may need assistance to open wide enough for a wheelchair. It may also be a bit heavy for some. However staff are quick to assist and hold it open. The door was wide enough (just,) for my very large outdoor powerchair. It will be fine for most wheelchairs. (The next door shop, Treehouse gifts, can also be accessed through this cafe through an open, doorless space at the side, as there is a large step to its main door.) Cafe is roomy and staff are very happy to move tables and chairs if required. They were friendly, welcoming and quick to assist. Even on a busy lunchtime visit. Food was incredibly good. There was a good selection.
