On a recent visit to the Ocean Drive area of Edinburgh we called into Britannia Spice for a meal. Menus quickly appeared and drinks orders taken. With such a vast range of meals on offer, it took us a little while for us to choose but choose we did. The food was delicious and plentiful. So much so we didn’t manage anything from the desert menu. The restaurant was fairly busy despite being early evening. We found the decor pleasant, as was the obligatory background music. The bill came to just over £50, which we felt was very reasonable indeed.

Being a wheelchair user, we had to use the rear entrance which, in the dark, was a bit tricky to manage, made more so needing to hold two sets of double doors open to get in. Nevertheless when a member of staff spotted us, he came to our aid and then promptly showed us to a suitable table.

Although I did not use it, there is an accessible toilet in the restaurant.
