Cardiff Bay Railway Station

Operational since 1840, this small single-line station is a five-minute walk from the bay for which it's named. The station's claim to fame is that its office was designed by the renowned civil engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel. This station provides a regular shuttle service to and from Cardiff Queen Street, with trains running every 12 minutes during the week. There were ongoing works to extend the station during my visit. I understand this will add a second platform and allow for more services, rather than just the singular shuttle service.
