The food here was SO GOOD! We went here by recommendation, and everything on the menu looked delicious, which is why I had to share photos of the menu. The pub is divided into a lower level, which is level access (via two double front doors) and an upper level where the bar is which is up 4 steps. They are very dog friendly here - in fact, they cooked a sausage especially for Ruffie! She was delighted. This was my favourite food experience in Dumfries.

    Disabled Access In and Around

Even though it is level access to get inside, I required help because there are two sets of heavy split front doors between the road and the pub interior. This was there same for getting into the accessible toilet, but The staff were great in both instances. The whole lower level has a thick, old fashioned carpet which I found hard to push on - though my assistance dog was loving it! The light level was nice and cosy and it wasn't too noisy to hear my partner during dinner. The pub is divided into two levels and the upper level, where the bar is, is up 4 steps.

    Accessible facilities: Step-free entrance

I travelled to this place by walk or wheel

Parking in this part of town is challenging. I parked a 10 minute wheel away.

Accessible facilities: Drop-off or pick up point

    Accessible Toilets

    Good

this was a nice accessible toilet, with a left-hand side transfer space clear of bins and a fold down grab rail on the left side. There were additional grad rails on the left side of the toilet and the sink. The sink was not lowered. The toilet flush was a button push which I found difficult.

Staff here are very friendly, and Ruffie was so spoiled. I would be a regular if I lived in Dumfries purely from that interaction
