    Old Bridge House Museum

    About

Built in 1660 into the sandstone of a medieval bridge, Dumfries’ oldest house is now a museum of everyday life in the town. You can see the family kitchen, nursery and bedroom of a Victorian home, and pay a visit to an early dentist’s surgery! Interpretive panels and museum trails tell the story of a house overlooking the river Nith.
