A struggle for Autistic people

Not autism friendly, especially if you also suffer from misophonia. Cafe and bar is loud, busy and open-space. Cinemas sometimes have AD, but there is no option for hard of hearing (boosted volume channel on headphones). Some adverts have included disruptive overlaid sounds in the past.

Socialising & Leisure

Wheelchair accessible cinemas, bar and restaurant. Friendly staff. Cinemas regularly have soft sub-titles and audio description.

Easy Access cafe & arthouse Cinema

Level access into venue and cafe. Wheelchair lift to main cinema auditorium. Level access to 2nd auditorium but wheelchair spaces very close to screen.

Disabled Access Information Provided by Chapter

Disabled Access at Chapter

Chapter is fully accessible, with flat access to the building through automatic doors and lift access to the first floor. Both cinemas have wheelchair spaces, at the rear of Cinema 1, accessed via a stair lift, and at the front of Cinema 2, with flat access. Please call the Box Office on 029 2030 4400 to book wheelchair spaces. There are toilet facilities for our disabled customers on both the ground and the first floors and dedicated disabled parking spaces are located in the front and rear car parks. Toilets features at Chapter

We have accessible toilets on both floors, with a lift to first floor level. We have transformed a room located next to the toilets in our Caffi Bar, into a Changing Facility which can be accessed by a RADAR key. The specialist equipment has been kindly donated by Mencap Cymru.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.

Changing Places toilet

There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.
