Unusual location for an EV charger

There aren’t many EV charging options in the local area, so I made my way to this charge point to review how accessible the equipment is for anyone who might need it. There’s just one parking space, even though the machine can support two vehicles charging at once. The space is wide enough to open car doors on either side, which is helpful. There are three charging options available: 50 kW CHAdeMO, 50 kW CCS, and 22 kW Type 2. Cables are provided, but they’re positioned quite high up on the machine There’s also a small rail in front of the terminal, so you need to reach over it to reach the cables. There are no support arms, which isn’t the best design choice. Confusingly, the card reader is located on the side of the machine, meaning you have to walk around it and step onto the grass to make your payment, assuming of course you can actually reach the card reader. The entire machine is on a plinth that does nothing more than add extra height .
