This museums tells the story of Scotland’s first Formula One World Champion – one of the greatest racing drivers of all time. During a career lasting over 11 years, Jim Clark secured double Formula One World Championships, conquered the Indy 500 and won many other races around the world during the 1950s and 60s. As well as viewing many of the trophies that Jim Clark won throughout his career, we have a changing programme of exhibitions. A tribute to a racing legend

The Jim Clark Motorsport Museum is a great museum celebrating a racing legend. I'll be honest, I'm rather ignorant when it comes to racing, not being much of a car guy but I left this museum very impressed, both as a result of seeing the masses of awards and accolades Jim has received and at how welcoming this venue is to disabled visitors. There were a few minor niggles, but generally the venue is a great place for enthusiasts and the uninitiated – that'd be me!

    Great wee museum

My husband is the Jim Clark fan, but I love motorsport so joined him when he visited this museum. I was on my mobility scooter, and was impressed by the accessibility of the museum, shop and toilets. The museum might be small, but it packs a punch, with lots of photographs, films, medals & trophies, and memorabilia of Jim Clark. The 3 longer films were both informative and moving. This museum is a gem and I am so glad that we visited.

Excellent access and an interesting museum

I planned this visit mainly for my husband's benefit, as he is into motorsports and especially F1, however, I actually really enjoyed it. Jim Clark's story is interesting and quite moving, and I particularly related to his mum and her not wanting him to race because of the dangers involved. From an accessibility perspective, this has been one of the most accessible museums we have ever visited.
