About

Carved out of the ancient forest of Sherwood, Clumber Park is a scenic National Trust site spread across 3,800 acres of parkland, woods and heath. Formerly the estate of the Dukes of Newcastle, it now offers miles of tranquil trails, beautiful gardens, a Gothic-style chapel and peaceful lakeside views. Visitors can enjoy the on-site cafés, shops, play areas, and wildlife-rich landscapes throughout the seasons.

Excellent place to visit!

Such a cool place to visit - wish we could have spent longer there. Good lunch - plenty of activities to keep kids occupied. And a lovely second hand bookshop’

Plenty of different walks for different abilities

Clumber Park is one of our favourite places for a day out. It's just off the A1 so it's easy to get to. There are good toilet facilities and places to get food and drink. Best of all, there are lots of walks. Our favourite walk is to go anti-clockwise around the lake, which is about 5 miles, I think.

Fantastic outdoor venue with great paths and trails

Excellent woodland trails - pick your route carefully but accessible trails abound. Unfortunately the map provided doesn't clearly show them.

Disabled Access Information Provided by Clumber Park

Disabled Access at Clumber Park

The park has step-free access to key areas including cafés, shops, and the Information Point. There are accessible toilets, including a Changing Places facility, and designated Blue Badge parking. A limited number of mobility scooters are available to hire, and the site includes 13 miles of tarmac roads with recommended routes for wheelchair and mobility aid users. There is level or ramped access to most buildings and facilities. Main entrances are generally step-free. Some paths have gentle slopes or uneven terrain. Mobility scooters and tramper vehicles are available to borrow, and accessible bikes are available from the Cycle Hub. Booking in advance is recommended. Full access audit is available on the AccessAble website.

Accessible parking at Clumber Park

There is a main car park with designated Blue Badge spaces located near the park centre and key amenities. These spaces are free for Blue Badge holders. Spaces cannot be reserved. There is also a drop-off point near the entrance.

Dedicated on-site parking

On-site accessible parking bays are available within 50 metres of the entrance.

Toilets features at Clumber Park

Accessible toilets are located centrally in the park and include step-free access, wide doors, grab rails, and accessible sinks. The Changing Places facility is located in the Turning Yard area.

There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.
