Overall Rating
Excellent
This is a friendly cafe within Forres Community Centre with easy access for wheelchair users. Good quality food and drink (nice coffee!). The public library is in the same building with all the usual services on hand. A lot of care has been put into making this a good spot for all abilities. Definitely worth return visits - maybe for their Afternoon Tea package!
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
The building is easy to get into with doors that open automatically. The route to the cafe is easy to negotiate with only one, internal door that is tricky for a wheelchair user to open without assistance. A smooth floor without steps or thresholds is welcome
Parking & Transport
Good
Their is one parking place for blue badge holders outside the building and a generous car park at the back. There is a bus stop within 100 metres
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
There is a spacious, accessible loo in the Community Centre adjacent to the cafe. Easy to find and well signed
Staff
Excellent
Very helpful and friendly staff, geared up to meeting the needs od people with disabilities. Ray, whose brainchild the cafe is, is often on hand and well worth grabbing for a chat!
Additional Information
I would really recommend the Community Cafe for a quick cuppa if you need to find a place in Forres that is accessible, or as a destination for lunch or afternoon tea.
