They have recently changed access to the toilets to require a code to enter, including the accessible toilet, instead of a radar key lock. The seating and layout is chaotic and is unsuitable for wheelchairs. The door upon entry is too heavy to push open manually while in a wheelchair especially. There is no lowered counter to order or pay, the noise level is too high to hear the staff behind the counter.

There is technically no-step access in the form of a wraparound ramp which works well, but there is no option for assistance at the door which is heavy. I’m in a manual wheelchair and could not open the door by myself, luckily someone leaving held the door for me. The seating inside is spread in such a way that a wheelchair user would need to physically move at least two chairs to use one of the tables, so although it is all on one level, a lot of it can’t be accessed by wheelchair.

Although there are curb spaces to park in, these are not marked accessible and are usually full throughout the day, closest dedicated car parking is a pay and display for the leisure centre across the street (further than 50 metres from the entrance)
Accessible Toilets

The toilet is too small to turn a chair around in and has been in a state of disrepair each time I’ve used it in the past. Often red cord is not tied up but snapped off above head height. The floor is wet to the point of sopping, with wet tissues and other hazards. Costa has no implemented a code access system so you must make a purchase to get the code, instead of installing a radar key lock. The toilet itself is behind a partial wall partition and so access to the door is tight, if I were in even a slightly bigger chair I couldn’t have made the turn into the toilet.
