Costa Martiánez

Costa Martiánez or Lago Martiánez as it's also known by, is a large open-air swimming pool leisure complex. There is a lake and several outdoor swimming pools, restaurants, snack bars and bars. There are impressive views of the sea and Mount Teide. This is so much more than your regular lido complex as was designed by César Manrique, a local artist from Lanzarote, there are lots of eye catching things to see as he has used traditional Canarian architecture and native flora, its a place to explore as well as swim or sit and relax. Given that the complex recently celebrated its 40th anniversary it has impressive step free access round most the complex and there is a designated area for disabled people next to a step free entrance to one of the pools.
